Walk and Talk

Does the idea of sitting indoors talking to someone fill you with dread?

You’re not alone, many people find the idea of talking in a room whilst sitting still quite intimidating. In fact, many don’t seek psychological support because of this. Walk & talk, for some people, offers a more relaxing environment where they feel better able to speak more freely about themselves.

Do you like being outdoors & long for more of it in your day to day life?

Spending time in nature is good for our health and well-being, and many of us enjoy it, yet modern life just doesn’t allow us to be outdoors as much as we’d like.

If yes…

Walk and talk therapy could be an option for you - it is a calming, and energising experience where we walk side by side, in the outdoors, wherever we agree, usually for an hour.

It requires no special equipment - just sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing. We walk at a pace suited to you, and incorporate breaks where needed.

Walk & Talk Research

I love being outdoors and walking, and yet my job as a psychologist is often very sedentary. I wanted to combine my passions - being outdoors, walking and supporting people therapeutically - to see not only how it could benefit others, but also myself too.

Clients engaging in W&T for as few as 6-8 sessions, saw a marked improvement in their well-being, feeling a deeper sense of acceptance, happiness and peace. They found walk and talk an enjoyable, energising and relaxing experience.
